Terms of Service

About the service

L-SPAN is an independent news, elections, and public opinion service for the fictional State of Mayflower roleplay community, with coverage focused on Lee County. It is not a government service and is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation or any real government.

Using L-SPAN

Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with the service, attempt to access accounts or staff tools without authorization, submit malicious content, or use the site to harass or threaten others. Staff may remove content or restrict access when needed to protect the service and its readers.

Sign-in and participation

Public ratings and article polls currently use screenshot-based sign-in while Roblox OAuth is unavailable. An AI service checks that a Roblox username appears in a cropped account-settings screenshot, but this does not verify account ownership. Do not use another person's username or alternate profiles to manipulate results. Employee dashboard access requires a separate verified employee session.

Content and advertisements

Readers are responsible for the content they submit. By submitting content, you permit L-SPAN to display it as part of the service and to moderate or remove it. Advertisements may link to third-party websites; L-SPAN does not control those sites or endorse their content by displaying an ad.

Availability and changes

L-SPAN is provided as available. Features, content, and these terms may change as the roleplay service develops. Continued use after updated terms are posted means you accept the revised terms.
